Swings Taphouse & Kitchen

Pearl Rating:

I only discovered Swings Restaurant on a recent trip to Dunsborough. We jetted off to Muster in Margaret river (without phoning up first) and arrived to discover it was hired out for a private function. We were almost going to turn around and drive home, when Swings restaurant caught our eye.

Now I just googled this to try and find a photo to show you (because it is absolutely gorgeous) and for some reason it is not appearing in Google Search! This is NOT Swings and Roundabouts – that is a winery miles from Margaret River.

Swings is a new restaurant which has replaced “Winos” which used to be here. This stunning little restaurant is covered in ivy and serves tapas style food and the food is sensational.

Mother Pearl recommends you order the Pork Sliders which are absolutely incredibly and should not be missed. The Slow Cooked Beef Short Ribs are also devine and if you ever see a gnocchi special with pumpkin and gorgonzola, make sure you order it. One of the best Gnocchi dishes I have ever tried. Their range of pizzas are also delicious – perfectly cooked bases which an Italian would definitely approve of!

The wine is on tap which is something you don’t have many opportunities to try - its dangerous as you can order wine per glass, per pint or per litre so you never know when the bottle is finished!

The vibe of Swings is a lot more laid back than Muster, (maybe don’t dress up, I did and I looked ridiculous next to the very relaxed locals)- it is a very laid-back and casual restaurant.  The service is friendly and efficient and we have decided that Muster will no longer be the only reason we drive up to Margaret River.
