Pearl Rating:

Last night Mother Pearl got all dressed up and went out to drink cocktails and party it up at a restaurant/bar which can truly be considered as a “Purl of Perth” and is appropriately called the “Purl” Bar.

This glamorous bar located in the buzzing Rokeby Road in Subiaco is the perfect place to go if you are looking for a sophisticated, sexy & upmarket night out on the town. The restaurant wraps around the rich mahogany bar which brings an array of colours to the restaurant as light reflects off of the mirrored walls covered with bottles.

The barmen take you back to the 1920′s with their bow ties and suspenders and every one of them has a interesting story to tell. You will leave at the end of the night with each one of them as a friend and may even be treated to a secret cocktail recipe discovered deep in Mexico on a wild holiday.

You have to dress up if you are going to the Purl bar. The men all have the James Bond look going on in their suits and collared shirts, and the ladies go all out to impress with their stilettos and stunning dresses. The quality of cocktails matches the quality of attendees and they are all designed by one of the leading mixologists in the country.

The food is equally as stylish and sophisticated as the rest of the bar. Each dish is presented beautifully and is the perfect finger food to ensure you can continue partying away while eating, gracefully.

Don’t be fooled by the calm & elegant way the night may start out, from Thursday to Friday night around 10pm, the Purl bar starts to pump and as the dancing, flirting and music begins, the queue begins building up outside the door with partiers longing to become a part of the vibrant energy within.

All in all, the Purl bar can be considered as the definition of sophistication and glamour. Not to be missed by those looking for a good night out.
